Students will be visiting the Jewish Holocaust Centre and the Shrine of Remembrance as part of their Semester One World War Two study in Humanities.
Students will meet at the Jewish Holocaust Centre located at 13-15 Selwyn St Elsternwick at 9.15 am. Students should catch a train to Elsternwick St and walk to the museum from there. If students are running late or need further assistance, please contact Mr. Sacco or Mr. Clark, including their name and tutorial group in any messages they may send.
At the conclusion of the museum visit, the students will make their way to the Shrine of Remembrance on St Kilda Road. Students are advised to take the train from Elsternwick to Flinders St station and catch at tram to stop 19. Students can take the following trams along St Kilda road, 3,5,6,16,64,67 and 72. They MUST arrive at the Shrine by 1.15pm.
Students will have an opportunity to buy lunch, but are advised to bring any snacks they may require along with a water bottle, an umbrella and/or sunscreen (depending on the weather on the day). Students are not required to carry the Nossal school bag during this excursion. A smaller bag is advised.
Students will be dismissed from the Shrine of Remembrance at approximately 3.15 and will make their own way home.
Dress Code: Full School Winter Academic Uniform
Transport: Students will be catching public transport to both the Jewish Holocaust Centre and the Shrine of Remembrance. Students must ensure they have sufficient funds on their Myki card for the day.
The Jewish Holocaust Centre is a short walk from Elsternwick station.
The Shrine is a short walk from tram stop 19 on St Kilda road.
