Top Class puts the spotlight on the creativity and sophistication of VCE performing arts students. Enjoy original and scripted dramatic monologues and theatrical design that demonstrate the imagination and originality of emerging actors and theatre makers.
Top Class Drama and Theatre Studies presents performances by inspirational students who received outstanding grades for their 2022 VCE performance examinations. Hear tips and advice from the Chief Assessors as they host an entertaining and informative 90-minute program.
Nossal is lucky enough to have two students from the Class of 2022 perform. Students in Year 10,11 and 12 have the unique opportunity to watch their peers perform.
The students will be expected to attend school in the morning in full academic uniform. At 12:00 pm, they will meet their teachers in the quadrangle and walk to Berwick Train station, going by train to Flinders Street Station and walking from there to the Malthouse Theatre (113 Sturt St, Southbank) for a 2PM start.
The performances will go for 90 minutes, ending at 3:30pm. After the event’s conclusion, students are expected to make their own way home.
Students will need a valid Myki card, as well as to provide their own lunch, as there will not be time to purchase anything. Furthermore, students are strongly encouraged to travel light, as large school bags cannot be brought into the theatre.
Dress Code: Full Academic Uniform
