Student Assignments have been very useful for holding students to account during our ‘asynchronous’ Digital Delivery Events. We encourage staff to use Assignment, Forms or look at the ‘history’ section of a class OneNote to ensure students have completed work within a set window of opportunity.

We have also used Assignments to administer a Teams chat “Rights and Responsibilities” quiz that students need to get 100% correct before they are granted Chat access. See “Teams Chat Student Access for more information”.

The Assignments tool has also been quite useful for those  teachers who have undertaken a ‘Flipped” classroom approach as one way of holding students to account when it comes to completing the content element of the lesson outside of class time. Having a quiz embedded within an MS Stream video also provides a similar level of accountability.
