Students will travel to Lannion, in Brittany, – the north-west of France, via plane and train to spend a week with a host family and visit our sister school; Lycee Felix le Dantec. They will then travel by coach to Paris, via the castles of Chenonceaux and Chambord, staying overnight in the historic town of Tours before arriving in Paris for a short stay prior to flying home.
This tour is costing $6740 per student. Payment is by instalments via Compass. Parents/Guardians do not need to make payment through this event. Consent only.

Students will have the opportunity to experience life in a French family and further develop their French language skills as they will be required to communicate in the language on a daily basis. They will visit many tourist attractions as outlined in the initial Parent information evening and the draft itinerary. A final itinerary will be provided to all students and families as final details are confirmed at the final parent information evening. Students will travel to France as a group with Thai airlines and travel to Lannion via train. They will be in the care of an appropriate host family while in Lannion, with all checks and risk management paperwork to be submitted to the Principal and Education Department prior to travel. Three experienced staff members of mixed gender will attend the tour with students and staff will monitor their wellbeing at all times, taking appropriate action should an incident occur. Mrs Yvonne Sly is constant contact with teachers in France and all efforts have been made to find a suitable host student for each of our students. Following the homestay in Lannion, our group tour will resume to travel to Paris by coach, via well known castles and include an overnight stay in Tours. They will spend 5 full days in Paris visiting the Eiffel tower, Versailles palace, the Louvre museum, Sacre Coeur Basilica and enjoy a cruise on the river Seine to see the sights of Paris. They will return home with Thai airways.

As we will be travelling in the European autumn, conditions are similar the Melbourne in the Autumn, however students will be encouraged to bring some warm clothing. No school uniforms are required in France. Neat casual is advised.
