Model United Nations in Japanese 2023

VCE Japanese students will participate in the Japanese Language Model United Nations. This event simulates a full-day session of the United Nations General Assembly. The day is conducted entirely in the Japanese language and through role play and debate students have the opportunity to step into the shoes of country ambassadors and use their negotiation and diplomacy skills to express the views of their allocated country. Students present their country’s position to the General Assembly, interact with other delegates during the caucus sessions, and move amendments to a Draft Resolution. This unique language immersion event is an opportunity for students to learn about international relations, the UN system and global issues in an engaging, dynamic environment, while developing their language skills.
