A requirement of the Unit 1 and Unit 3 Theatre Studies course is to view a live play for analysis. Students in Unit 3 are required to study the written playscript and analyse how a script was realised for performance. In Unit 1 students will be analysing how a performance conveys meaning to an audience.

Students will need to bring note taking materials for the pre-show talk and post performance.

There are minimal options for food around the Southbank Theatre, students will need to ensure they bring an adequate amount of food to sustain them throughout the day including snacks, a packaged lunch and a water bottle. Students can’t eat during the performance but will have an opportunity before the show and post show.

Students are to meet Mr Woon in front of The Arts Centre Melbourne spire by 10:15 AM and students will be escorted to the MTC venue. Students running late can contact Mr Woon.

Students will be dismissed at 2:30 from the venue and are expected to head straight home post performance.
