Unit 1 & 2 Biology Excursion to Melbourne Zoo

Students will learn about the conservation program at Melbourne Zoo. They will study a number of endangered animals. They will also study the structural features and behaviours of the different primate groups in preparation for Unit 4 Biology.

 

Students will meet their teachers at the railway entrance to the zoo at 9.30AM. Students will be dismissed from the zoo at 2.30PM. Students should bring their own lunch and snacks. If rain is predicted on the day, they should bring their spray jackets and an umbrella. Sunscreen may also be required. Students are permitted to bring a small, dark-coloured backpack instead of their Nossal school bag. If a student is going to be absent or late, they should contact their teachers:  Mrs Latham, Mrs Ball , Mr LaBrooy.

Transport:

Students will make their own way to and from the zoo. The need to ensure they have sufficient funds on their Myki for the day. Students will meet their teachers at the railway entrance to the zoo at 9.30AM. They will need to investigate the PTV website to ensure they know the best way to travel to and from the zoo and to be on time.
